Based on your personal results, FitMed will prescribe a medically-based fitness and nutrition plan that is customized, not just for your body type, but to your actual body. All exercise plans are individually developed and include the frequency, duration and intensity of the intended exercise. In addition, you will be given exercise progression guidelines to optimize your results.

Choose your program:

The Metabolic Module

The FitMed Partners Metabolic Module is approximately two hours long. The module offers two tests and a consultation with FitMed Partner’s Exercise Physiologist:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test to determine basal calories your body burns to maintain itself at rest
  • Cardiometabolic Performance Test on treadmill or cycle to measure key data including peak VO2, anaerobic threshold and the precise amount of calories burned at all exercise heart rate levels
  • Review of results and exercise prescription with Exercise Physiologist.

Nutritional Assessment:

To most effectively guide you towards better nutrition, FitMed Partners’ Nutritional Assessments include baseline testing of your resting metabolic rate, body composition and other measurements used to determine your unique nutritional program:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test
  • Body Composition with DXA
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Personal Health and Nutritional Assessment
  • 60-Minute Consultation with our Registered Dietician to analyze your current nutritional routine and development of a new, customized nutritional program.

Fitness Assessment:

For clients who currently don’t exercise or are interested in a more comprehensive assessment, FitMed Partners offers a Fitness Assessment. Our Fitness Assessment is performed by our Exercise Physiologist and includes:

  • Metabolic Profile (RMR and Cardiometabolic Performance Test)
  • Body Composition (body fat) via GE Lunar Prodigy DXA scanner
  • Muscle strength, flexibility and range of motion assessments
  • Balance evaluation using our Biodex Balance System
  • Extensive questionnaires regarding current fitness patterns, goals, and general health.
  • Consultation with our Exercise Physiologist to determine and provide a specific and personalized exercise prescription.

Fitness & Nutritional Assessment

For the most complete results, FitMed Partners recommends our combined Fitness & Nutrition Assessment. This combined Assessment includes:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Personal Health and Nutritional Assessment
  • Cardiometabolic Performance Test
  • Body Composition (body fat) via BodPod or GE Lunar Prodigy DXA scanner;
  • Muscle strength, flexibility and range of motion assessments
  • Balance evaluation using our Biodex Balance System
  • Extensive questionnaires regarding current fitness patterns, goals, and general health
  • Consultation with our Exercise Physiologist to determine and provide a specific and personalized exercise prescription

Weight Loss Program

FitMed Partners offers our patients a safe and medically-based weight loss program designed to deliver results without compromising your health, nutrition levels and well-being. Our Weight Loss Program uses a weekly food journal program and includes customized review, analysis and recommendations by our Registered Dietician.

SpectraCell Comprehensive MicroNutrient Testing

FitMed Partners revolutionizes nutrition by customizing your nutrition plan to your body. We offer nutritional testing, using SpectraCell, designed to scientifically pinpoint micronutrient and anti-oxidant deficiencies. Four weeks after your SpectraCell Test, FitMed Partners creates and provides patients with a customized repletion treatment plan.
